Queen of the Sausage Fest

In days gone by,  local butchers ruled American communities with their assorted cuts of meats and hand made sausage. "Hail to the Butcher", the citizenry would cry as the livestock were led to the slaughterhouse. And then, once a year, they would hold a great celebration of meat and hoist the fairest maiden in town high, draped in meat, as their queen.
